Downwind
A series of photographs inspired by vintage sailing boat races in Cannes and Antibes.
The Régates Royales where the most beautiful sailing boats of the last two centuries are concentrated in Cannes. Magnificent old sailing boats of tradition, pieces of history, together with the colorful and prestigious Dragon keelboats,, compete on the sea with the Estérel mountain range on the horizon.
These photographs are printed on Japanese paper, sometimes partially intervened with an encaustic medium that transforms the paper into a translucent material.
I present them in my classic teak wood frame or between 2 plexiglass in a more modern teak frame, also handmade.
